It's been quite some time since my last post. I've been busy enough with all those exciting things that life brings along and doing what ever training I can to fit. This has been a case of doing what is in most need at the time and will have he biggest impact on the racing that I'm doing, namely Challenge Roth.
Swimming has been my lowest priority plate to spin and I've been getting wet twice a week as and when I can. This has been just enough to keep me moving at a easonable pace for 3km or so.
Biking has been a priority, but that has been to get in along ride of 3-4hrs and a faster session, all other miles have been easy spins.
The long run has been a priority, with all other running just easy for as long as I have available, and picking up the pace if the legs have been up to it.
Fingers crossed this is going to be enough to get me across the line in Germany in a reasonable time. I just need a couple of descent long rides and runs and I should be there.
So my prioriies for the last 7 weeks will be:
- Long bike 4-5hrs with a 20min run off it.
- Long run 2hr30
- Faster bike with a tempo run off it
- long swim of 3-4km.
Any other training will be recovery and ticking over between the key sessions.
